OVERALLS! One of my favorite items for summer, overalls can be an easy, effortless and cute outfit idea when done right. I like to pair them with a crop top because they tend to be loose so its nice to have the contrast. In these photos I’m wearing a long sleeve top because the overalls are short and I have this rule in the summer: (rule) if you are wearing something short on the bottom, balance it out with something long on the top and the other way around. It’s a little weird, I know, but it makes me feel more comfortable to be covered when walking around I think it comes with the age:) The title of the post comes from a song from one of my favorite new artists called Tove Lo, she’s a Swedish singer and I love all her music especially this song Moments and the one called Thousand Miles. Midi dresses are my favorite kinds of dresses this season. I love the length because its not too short and showing too much skin but not too maxi and bohemian – its just the happy middle. This one has a kind of 90’s vibe with the simple white straps and I paired it with a plaid shirt and platform mules I got for five dollars at a sale (love sales). I only realized after I was looking at these photos that I’m channeling my inner Kylie Jenner with these insane lips! I know I have big lips but they look huge in this picture. My secret is the lip stain from Revlon, its stains your lips to give them a color that looks natural, like you just ate a popsicle. And finally, the title of this look is named after this song I’ve been listening to constantly by the Weeknd, I’ve been obsessed with the Weeknd lately and I’ve added it below:) Well on that note, hope you enjoyed this easy summer outfit and let me know what you think in the comments section below. xx Karen

שמלות מידי הם האהובים עליי משמלות הקיץ. אני אוהבת את האורך כי לא קצר מדי ומראה יותר מדי עור אך לא מקסי ובוהמי מדי – זה משהו באמצע. שמלה זו היא באווירה של שנות התשעים עם הכתפיות הלבנות הפשוטות ואני שילבתי אותה עם חולצת משבצות ופלטפורמה  שקניתי בחמש דולר בסייל (אני נורה אוהבת סיילים). אני רק הבנתי אחרי שהסתכלתי על התמונות שאני דומה לקיילי ג’נר הפנימי שלי עם השפתיים מטורפות האלה! אני יודע שיש לי שפתיים גדולות אבל הם נראים ענקיים בתמונה הזאת עם השפתיים הגדולות. הסוד שלי הוא ליפסטיק חדש מרבלון שמשאיר את השפתיים עם צבע שנראה טבעי, כמו שאתה פשוט אכלת ארטיק. ולבסוף, הכותרת  הזה נקרא על שמו של שיר שאני מקשיבה לו כל הזמן של ה וויקנד, יש ליאובססייה עם הוויקנד בזמן האחרון ואני הוספתי אותו מתחת 🙂 מקווה שאתם נהנתם מתלבושת הקיצית הקלה הזו ואשמח לדעתכם בהערות למעתה. קארן-

 

Celeb Street Style: Vanessa Hudgens

These photos of Vanessa Hudgens have been going around social media lately and I usually don’t post photos of celebrities but I am absolutely in LOVE with everything she’s wearing. Her style is so effortless and put together and I like how she mixes and matches prints and colors. My favorite looks are the leopard print mini dress and the striped crop top and skirt set. It’s been a crazy week since my best friends came to visit me and have been staying with me at my new apartment. These photos were taken at the roof of the building by one of my friends and most roofs in Tel Aviv look pretty similar:) I got the outfit inspiration for this from Instagram (of course) I saw this girl wearing a graphic print tank tucked into high-rise mom jeans and thought it looked so cute. Here’s my version of the outfit- the sunglasses are from this amazing new brand called Shams Glasses and they take old vintage sunglasses and renew/recycle them, pretty cool huh? היה לי שבוע מטורף מאז שחברות הכי טובות שלי הגיעו לבקר וישנות איתי בדירה החדשה. התמונות האלו צולמו בגג של הבניין על ידי אחד מהחברים שלי ורוב הגגות בתל אביב נראים די דומה 🙂 קיבלתי את ההשראה לתלבושתה מהאינסטגרם (כמובן) ראיתי מישהי לובשת גופיה עם הדפס גרפית בהל ג’ינס  שחקים וחשבתי שזה נראה ממש יפה. הנה הגרסה שלי של האוטפיט – משקפי השמש הן ממותג חדש שנקרא שאמס והם לוקחים משקפי שמש וינטאג ‘ישנות וממחזרים אותם, מגניב לא? מקווה שקבלתם השראה קטנה ושיהיה שבוע  נהדר

La Feria ❀

When I was 16 I did a student exchange program and I went to live in Spain with a host family in El Puerto de Santa Maria- a small town in the heart of Andalucia. Every year they have a week-long festival called La Feria where all the women dress up in flamenco dresses and they drink, dance and sing in casetas. I’ve always wanted to go and last week my host sister Maria messaged me and told me that the festival was that week- I spontaneously bought a plane ticket and flew for the weekend. On the last day Maria let me try on one of flamenco dresses and we did a little photo shoot en la calle:) (above). Overall the weekend went by like a dream and I had the most fun in the parties and just hanging out with the family. But on Monday it was back to work and and real life…hasta la proxima vez! xxo Karen

כשהייתי בת 16 שעשיתי תכנית לחילופי סטודנטים ועברתי לגור בספרד עם משפחה מארחת, בעיר בעיירה קטנה בלב של אנדלוסיה. בכל שנה יש להם פסטיבל במשך שבוע שנקרא “לה פריה” הפסטיבל שבו כל הנשים מתלבשות בשמלות פלמנקו ושותים, רוקדים ושרים בברים. תמיד רציתי ללכת ושבוע שעבר אחותי המארחת שלי מריה שלחה לי הודעה ואמרה לי שיש פסטיבל – אני באופן ספונטני קניתי כרטיס טיסה וטסתי לסוף שבוע. ביום האחרון מריה נתנה לי למדוד את אחת השמלות פלמנקו שלה ועשינו צילומים קטנים ברחוב (למעלה). בסך הכל הסוף שבוע חלף כמו חלום והיה לי הכי כיף במסיבות וסתם להיות עם :)המשפחה. אבל ביום שני זה היה לחזור לעבודה וחיים אמיתיים-קרן

 

Plaid and Prints

Whenever I talk to friends about shopping and clothes, the one question that I always get asked is how to style things. For example, they might have a really great printed skirt or sequined top and they just don’t know what to wear it with- or you they have one item in your closet that they know how to wear it with (most likely a black tank).  I used to be like that, too, but then I realized how easy it is to mix and match prints. Plaid can easily go with a flower print, denim or even stripes- you just have to make sure the colors and silhouettes work together. This top and skirt are vintage from San Francisco, and the shoes I got from Urban Outfitters for the amazing price of 10 dollars, I love the sale rack there. Maxi skirts are my thing lately, you can wear them in the summer heat and not feel like you’re half naked in shorts and a tank. כל פעם שאני מדברת עם חברות על קניות ובגדים, השאלה תמיד שואלים אותי זה איך לשלב פריטים מסוימים. לדוגמא, אולי יש להם חצאית מודפסת או חולצה עם פייטים והם פשוט לא יודעות עם מה ללבוש את זה- או שיש להם פריט אחד בארון שהם חושבות שהולך עם זה (בדרך כלל טנק שחור ). אני  גם היית ככה, אבל אז הבנתי כמה זה קל לשלב הדפסים ודוגמאות. משבצות יכול בקלות ללכת עם הדפס פרחים, ג’ינס או אפילו פסים, רק צריך לוודא שהצבעים והצלליות עובדים יחד. החולצה והחצאית הם  ווינטג מסן פרנסיסקו, והנעליים קניתי מאורבן  במחיר המדהים של 10 דולר, אני כל כך אוהבת את המדף סייל שם. חצאיות מקסי זה הפריט המעודף בזמן האחרון, אפשר ללבוש אותה בחום של הקיץ ולא להרגיש כאילו את חצי עירומה במכנסיים קצרים. אז אני מקווה שנתתי לכם קצת השראה לשבוע ועד לפעם הבאה- קרן

I met Ashley in Tel Aviv through a local Facebook group. I posted there that I was selling clothes and she came to my house with her dog- I don’t even think she bought anything:) We hit it off and became good friends ever since. One day I saw her walking with these shoes from See by Chloe and fell in love with them! I told her I would photograph her for the blog and of course she agreed. Ashley’s from Manhattan and is the most funny, spontaneous, easy-going person you’ll ever meet. Her style is a mix between laid-back and chic- very New York. Her staple piece is a great leather jacket and I feel like that’s more of a East Coast thing. We, in California tend to wear more fleece jackets than structured jackets:) Well, I hope you enjoyed this little bit of weekend inspiration  and until next time xx Karen

פגשתי את אשלי בתל אביב דרך קבוצה בפייסבוק “סיקרט תל אביב”. פירסמתי שם שאני עושה מכירת בגדים והיא באה עם הכלב שלה. אני אפילו לא חושבת שהיא קנתה משהו:) הפכנו להיות חברות טובות מאז. יום אחד ראיתי אותה הולכת עם הנעליים האלה מ”קלואי” והתאהבתי בהן! אמרתי לה שאני חייבת לצלם אותה לבלוג וכמובן שהיא הסכימה. אשלי ממנהטן והיא הבחורה הכי מצחיקה, ספונטנית, וחמודה שתפגשו. הסגנון שלה הוא שילוב בין קז’ואל ושיק- מאוד ניו יורק. הפריט האהוב עליה הוא מעיל עור מחויט ואני מרגישה שזה יותר סטייל של החוף המזרחי. אנחנו בקליפורניה, נוטים ללבוש יותר מעילי צמר מג’קטים מחוייטים:) אז, אני מקווה שנתתי לכם קצת השראה לסוף השבוע ועד הפעם הבאה -קרן

 

 

 

 

Meshi

I’ve really been so busy lately that I’ve actually been meaning to upload this photo for the past three months. But the apartment I’ve been renovating has taken up so much of my time, physically and mentally that I keep putting it off:/ Well, finally it’s here! This stylish girl I found on the streets of Allenby near the Carmel Market caught my eye during my work break when I was out to lunch with a friend. I immediately stopped her without hesitation and she is the type of girl who knows that she dresses well so she wasn’t surprised when I asked her to photograph her outfit for the blog. She is wearing basically vintage everything except for her dress which is from H&M.

So let’s talk about her outfit: first of all she’s wearing a summer dress over a long sleeve tee, which is something absolutely love- it’s very 90’s which is having a huge comeback recently. Then, she’s layering gold jewelry over the tee, which is a bit more unconventional and gives it a pop of background color. Those shear tights that she’s wearing are everything- they also have a vintage feel and show just enough skin but not too much. Socks and flats, a perfect denim jacket, black sunnies and a pop of red lipstick- this girl is rockin’ the effortless/vintage/cool vibes. באמת הייתי כל כך עסוקה בזמן האחרון שאני ממש התכוונתי להעלות את  התמונה הזו  כבר שלושה חודשים. אבל הדירה שאני משפצת לקחה את כל הזמן שלי פיזית ונפשית שאני דחיתי אותו: / אבל הנה, סוף סוף זה כאן! מצאתי את הבחורה הזאת ברחובות אלנבי ליד שוק הכרמל. עצרתי אותה ללא היסוס, והיא מסוג הבנות שיודעות שהם מתלבשות טוב שהיא לא הופתעה כששאלתי אותה אם אפשר לצלם את התלבושת שלה לבלוג. היא לובשת בעצם הכל ווינטג פרט לשמלה שהיא מאיש אנד אמ

אז בואו נדבר על התלבושת שלה: קודם כל היא לובשת שמלת קיץ מעל טי שרוול ארוך, וזה סטייל שאני ממש אוהבת ומזכיר לי קצת את שנות התשעים שעושה קאמבק ענק לאחרונה. לאחר מכן, היא שמה תכשיטי זהב מעל החולצה השחורה, וזה קצת לא שיגרתי ונותן פופ של צבע רקע. הגרביונים  שהיא לובשת הם הכול: יש להם גם סיגנון ווינטג והם רק מספיק חסופות אבל לא יותר מדי. גרביים ונעלים שטוחות, ז’קט ג’ינס מושלם, משקפי שמש שחורות ופופ של שאודם אדום -הבחורה הזאת היא הכי סטייל ווינטג / לא מנסה / מגניבה. אני מקווה שהצלחתי לתת לכם קצת השראה אופנתית לסוף השבוע נתראה בפעם הבאה עם עוד פוסט סטריט סטייל רחובות תל אביב!- קרן

Sunglass Season ♥

I don’t know about you but I’m starting to feel summer creeping up and before we know it we’ll be hanging out at the beach every Friday and Saturday afternoon (at least if you’re living in Tel Aviv). Well, the one thing thing that you gotta have in your bag and at all times is sunglasses, and lots of them. They say that more is better although I always tend to wear the same pair every day somehow;) So lets get right down to it. Even though I’m not big on trends I still love to know, what sunglasses are everyone wearing this season? I did some Tumblr research and visited the Errocca 2015 collection launch to find out for you:

Reflective Lenses  

 

This trend has been happening ever since last year since its been seen on the runways and celebrities like Diana Argon (below) have been seen wearing them everywhere. I like these sunglasses because they add a pop of neon color to an outfit and give it a more futuristic feel. That’s why its perfect to pair with a neutral look or a flower print dress because it balances it out.

הטרנד הזה כבר התחיל שנה שעברה ומאז רעינו אותו על המסלולים וסלבריטאים כמו דיאנה ארגון (למתה) אני אוהבת את המשקפי שמש האלה כי הם מוסיפים פופ של צבע ניאון לאוטפיט. זה מושלם לשלב אותם עם לוק ניטראלי או שמלה פרחונית כי זה מאזן את זה

Colorful Frames

  

Who says sunglasses have to be a neutral color? Nothing says “cool girl” more than a pair of bright colored frames. Most girls are hesitant to try this bold move because they think they wont be able to match them with everything they’re wearing. But actually you’d be surprised as to how easy it is to coordinate colorful frames with an outfit.

מי אומר שמשקפי שמש צריכים להיות בצבע ניטראלי? שום דבר לא אומר “מגניב” יותר מאשר זוג מסגרות בצבע קונטרסתי. רוב הבנות מהססות לנסות את צעד הנועז הזה, כי הם חושבות שהם לא יהיו מסוגלים להתאים אותם עם כל מה שהם לובשות. אבל למעשה אתם תהיו מופתעות עד כמה זה קל לתאם מסגרות צבעוניות עם תלבושת

I love these, and you can see them in all of my photos under the Lookbook section. I actually have only one pair that I wear all the time that I found in a vintage market. They’re very 70’s and give a more bohemian vibe, they also go with everything and are really easy to wear. Some of my favorite photos I found of this style:

Moving Day

I’ve taken a short break from the blog lately because I’ve been busy moving apartments and its been a crazy month! Needless to say, I couldn’t wait to get back into things a post more outfit photos. This was shot a while ago in the parking lot of my new building:) During the winter its nice to still wear dresses and the only way I’ve found to do this (since I’m always cold!) is to double up on stockings- one tan and one black- so that it’s warm enough. Whenever I wear a short dress I love to throw on an oversized sweater or long coat so that it balances out the look. This sweater from Zara it so cozy it almost feels like your wearing a blanket, the only downside is that you can’t wear it with a coat because the sleeves are so loose. Color palette: black and neutrals of course, but the olive green gives it a little pop. אני לקחתי הפסקה קצרה מהבלוג בזמן האחרון כי אני באמצע מעבר דירות ועובר עלי חודש מטורף! בכל זאת, לא יכולתי לחכות לחזור לעניינים ולפרסם פוסט חדש. הפוסט הזה צולם לפני המון זמן בחניה של הבניין החדש שלי:)
כשחורף כיף עדיין ללבוש שמלות והדרך היחידה שמצאתי לעשות את זה (כי תמיד קר לי!) הוא ללבוש שני זוגות גרביונים- אחד בצבע גוף ואחד שחור, כך שזה עדיין מחמם. כל פעם שאני לובשת שמלה קצרה אני אוהבת לשלב סוודר אוברסייז או מעיל ארוך, פריט שמאזן את האאוטפיט. הסוודר הזה מזארה כל כך נעים שזה כמעט מרגיש כמו ללבוש שמיכה, החסרון היחיד הוא שאי אפשר ללבוש אותו עם מעיל בגלל שהשרוולים רופפים. צבעים מומלצים: שחורים ומשפחת הניטראליים (אפור, לבן,חום) אבל ירוק זית כמו בתמונה נותן לזה קצת פופ. ולבסוף, גרביים עם מגפיים- אחד הטרנדים לחורף האהובים עלי:)
